she sells seashells...

The other night we headed down to the beach to see the huge waves that Hurricane Bill was causing. The tide was super high and as the boys were playing near the edge of the water, I noticed that all of these perfect little seashells had washed up on shore.

They were everywhere! And every one that we picked up was just perfect!

But what I really couldn't believe was just how tiny some of them were...

...so tiny!!!

I think my heart just skipped a beat -- what a find! It may as well be raining gold as far as I'm concerned. Those shells are fantastic!

they are tiny and pretty. We aren't far from the sea here in GB, and on Friday were at the seaside. While my little girl, husband and Granny all made sandcastles, I scavanged for sea glass. Martha S often mentions it for her summer crafts, but I didn't even know if I'd seen it before. I hunted around and Lo & Behold, found a small handful of pretty sea glass in white, green and the palest blue. It's funny how things thrown out from the sea can be so beautiful - even bits of old glass!

:O)

Amazing huh? I think it would be utter bliss to leave near the ocean, unless of course a hurricane! :D
