It's almost here....

First, I wanted to thank everyone who has responded to my first posts! Like everyone told me...the blog world is very kind...Thanks a bunch!
I thought I would post a few of my Halloween decorations from around the house since it's almost here and I just LOVE Halloween!!!
This little golf basket I found at an antiques shop over the summer. Since it was orange I had to have it for Halloween. Not only that, but it is a really cute, unusual small size.
Isn't she sweet...

I can't remember if it was last year or the year before that I got the little pumpkin and mice from EBAY. I had to have them and of course my bid went up and up and up to the point I thought "this better be worth it!" and it was. The woman who made it really did do a beautiful job and I know I will have it and use it every Halloween for years!

That's about it for now. I hope you enjoy them! Today is my brother and nehpew's birthday and I'm off to make some apple fritters. I'm changing the way I usually make them this time and if they come out good I'll post the (very easy) recipe!
Have a nice weekend!

two treats...

Isn't it amazing how a little something could just make your day or in this case, I think it will be a few months. I got this in the mail on Friday from Karla's Etsy Shop and can't stop looking at it!

It is so sweet and it has two of my favorite things...buttons and vintage wallpaper...I just love it!!!

Yesterday we had a little antique show in my town and was pretty much leaving with nothing and then I saw this...

I've been collecting antique ironstone for years. This isn't very old and has no marks on it either but who cares!? It's nice and heavy though and it blends right in! The best part...$4!!!!!

here it goes...

Well, I have finally decided to do it...I'm entering "blog world". I have been wanting to for so long but kept putting it off because I'm not that computer savvy. I mean, I can place an order, go on Ebay or check my bank account but I just don't know a lot of the technical things. But, I'm sure I will learn!

What is it about some blogs that are so addicting? I have a ritual every morning....I walk my kids to the bus stop, practically run home, get my coffee, sit down at my computer and start opening my favorite blogs (especially the creative ones!) hoping to see a new post!

So, please bare with me as I learn. I have so much I want to write about, pictures to post and some of my own little creative surprises to eventually show!

The first picture I wanted to post is one of my all time favorite things...my pearl buttons. I've been collecting them and creating with them since I was a little girl. Who doesn't love an old ironstone bowl filled with beautiful MOP buttons!

Thanks for reading my first entry!
