Architectural Pieces

It is so nice and sunny today, for a change, that it almost seems spring like! The house seemed so bright and cheerful that I thought I would take some shots of some of my favorite architectural things. After I started taking some pictures I realized that I may have a problem....
These corbels I have in the entrance of my dining room. Nice and chippy with a touch of green paint coming through.
On this one I cheated...The frame isn't old, but the painting is. I wanted an old frame but couldn't find one this size. It is pretty big. So my father made me the frame and I just painted and distressed it. I use old porch spindles alot for candles!
Love, love, love Dryads frames. Have them all over the house! This mirror was a window that we got in Cape Cod on our honeymoon. Believe it or not, my husband talked me into it. I wasn't sure about it at first.....what was I thinking? The sconces I found, right after we got the window, at Anthropologie. Perfect match!

This old piece of molding is over the bay window in my dining room.

This is my most recent purchase. I got it a few months ago at an antique shop. Was pretty cheap too! Everyone who sees it seems to make a perverted comment...dirty minds!
This morning my son was laying in bed with my husband and I heard my husband say "I don't know, ask mommy". "Ask mommy what?" I said. "Why don't you have a picture in that frame?" I said, "because I love it just the way it is!"

Yard long above my bed.

Sconces above my dresser.

Yes, I have a park bench in my bedroom!

Little old childs chair and an old draw front. See the keyhole?
In the mudroom where the boys hang their jackets and backpacks.
I love this scalloped piece. it hangs above the TV in our den.
I could keep going....Maybe I do have a problem...You should see my attic!

If you decide to decrease your inventory of architectural bits, send them my way! I think you have them just fine... or maybe you need more... Kim
